The train station under the Schuman roundabout connected to the metro and road tunnel in Brussels is one of the busiest places in the city. The reconstruction included a railway and subway station, as well as a road tunnel with parking lots and connections with the adjacent underground parts of the existing buildings on a total of four underground levels and over 500 m in length. During the reconstruction, elements of prefabricated reinforced concrete, monolithic reinforced concrete structures, including post-tensioned beams at the construction site, as well as steel structures and structural elements of the existing facilities.
